"Steer clear"

Second time we have ordered 3 different curries from this place that all tasted the same....very HOT!I love Madras, but could not tell the difference between the Madras and Bhuna, as they tasted and looked identical.The Biryani curry sauce was blow your socks off hot too.The person who answered the phone when we complained basically told us that we didn't know the difference between curry tastes-responsibility was ours-and that all the dishes we ordered are hot. I'm 47,and I've eaten Indian food from takeaways in the UK for most of my adult life, and in most, if not all of these places,Madras is hot,Bhuna milder and Biryani veg curry sauce mild. There's not only a visible difference between these dishes, but they taste different too. The guy on the phone arrogantly informed me that the only difference actually,between Madras and Bhuna is onions;so that was me told!The guy was totally unbending and indifferent in his attitude and didn't issue an apology once. According to him,we should have told them that we wanted the Bhuna and Biryani mild,despite us ordering online where we didn't have the option to do this. The only thing we can do is not go there again. We spent over £20 on a 3 supposedly different curries that were all identical.That old adage "the customer is always right" doesn't apply to Momtaj II,infact a more accurate motto for this place would be "the customer can't tell the difference between curries, and will take what they are given." My advice is steer clear, unless you just like curries that come in one flavour....HOT!.
