A review of The Netherton Hotel by Dbh written on Wednesday 30th of June 2010
My wife and myself had been wanting to try the netherton for ages and finally decide to give it a go, the young bar tender was great and knew his stuff, we talked to a couple of customers who recomended the fish and chips, there was a small order and a large order of fish and chips, so we both decided on the large fish and chips, chips real nice as where the mushy peas but the fish was not that good, i do realisze the fish was fresh not frozen but both orders where full of bones and the batter was not that good, i think the fish was cooked in fat that was not hot enough thereby making it very greasy, i know all fish contains bones but surely the chef should have someone fillet the fish as the amount in both our orders really spoiled our food, i would also like to add that the lady cleaning the tables was very polite, we plan to go back soon but will have something other than the fish, i would also like to add the toilets where not that clean and how anyone could eat at the tables outside them is beyond me .
