Very Poor Quality & Service

by Anonymous - Wednesday 10th 2007f January 2007

We ordered bedroom furniture from Solid Woods last year (2006) and paid a 50% deposit. We were told a delivery time of 8 weeks which came and went with no sign of the furniture. After countless phone calls by ourselves and visits to the showroom and then finally a letter from ourselves threatening to cancel the order, we took delivery of the furniture after 15 weeks. On close inspection of the furniture there were several areas of poor workmanship for example joints not properly made and poor finishing just to name a few. Luckily we had paid for the furniture on our credit card so after getting an independant report done on the furniture, the credit card company refunded our money. Throughout the whole experience the customer service we recieved from Solid Woods was disgraceful.
